My Day "Off"

As mentioned in my last post, I had the "day off" on Saturday! I have to tell you, it was AWESOME!!! I woke up at the same time that I do every morning, but instead of getting up, I just LAID there! Didn't move a muscle! I don't think it has ever felt so good to just lay in bed. After about an hour and a half of that, I got up and went down to eat. Scotty took Molly out on an errand, so I got to eat, shower, get dressed, dry my hair (all the way!), and put on make-up ALONE! I went to The Patio for lunch (off State Bridge, if you haven't been...yum!), and then to the Forum to Barnes and Noble. I must have walked around Barnes and Noble with my $25 gift card in hand for about an hour and a half. I walked away with Dr. Oz's YOU on a Diet and Jessica Seinfeld's Deliciously Deceptive (I made the mac & cheese and banana bread from this for Molly tonight!). It was a gorgeous day Saturday, so I walked around the Forum and just browsed.....did you hear that? I got to browse! No stroller, no goldfish cracker bribes, no rushing, no crying! Just me taking my sweet time walking in and out of stores that I enjoy! It was glorious! I couldn't believe how relaxed I felt after that! I didn't know if I'd feel lonely by myself, but honestly, it was exactly what I needed. When I got home I was so sleepy (from all that relaxation! Oh, and probably from growing another baby too!) and Scotty had taken Molly out again, so I took a 2 hour nap. When I got up, it was close to dinner time, and my sweet hubby wanted to take me to dinner (after he and Molly got home from their errand....buying me flowers!). We decided to play it family friendly and went to Taco Mac. Molly was great, dinner was great, and there was nothing to clean up afterwards...well, nothing for US to clean up afterwards! So to sum it all up, it really was a PERFECT day! I have to encourage every mom out there to please go and have a perfect day off SOON.....you deserve it!
