We are in position!

I had my ultrasound today and am thrilled to report that baby is head down! Hallelujah! It is pretty amazing to see an ultrasound at this point. Since I was high risk with Molly, I literally had 25 ultrasounds, but 30 weeks was as late as we went. I'll be 36 weeks on Saturday, and it was wild to see the baby at this point! You could only really see a part at a time because it's so big! It was difficult for the technician to get measurements because this little one NEVER stopped moving! She estimated that the baby weighs between 6 1/2-7 pounds at this point, and guessed that if I were to go 40 weeks it would weigh between 8 1/2-9 pounds. It is, of course, all a guess. I was so glad to hear that, because I feel pretty confident I can push that out! She said she had another girl before me who was 37 weeks with a baby measuring 9 pounds!!!! Yikes!! I'll see my doctor on Monday and we'll talk about it then, but she also guessed he would induce a week early (if I go that long!) to avoid the 9 pound range. It will be so interesting to finally meet this little one! Only 2-3 weeks or so to go!

so glad that you have peace of mind.

i'm hoping for an early delivery. the hotter and longer it gets ... the more swollen you feel with an august baby.
