Need a little bulk...

...in your diet, that is? I ran across a yummy bran muffin recipe at allrecipes.com. I love homemade bran muffins because they are so much tastier and healthier than store bought, and really, who doesn't need a little more fiber in their life? Even my picky Molly and baby Jack like these! I made 2 changes to the recipe:
  1. It calls for 1/3 cup oil, which I substituted with 1/3 cup applesauce

  2. I throw in 1 tsp. of cinnamon

I'm not a raisin fan, but I used golden raisins and they add a great sweetness and a little moisture. Plus, Molly loves finding raisins in there.

Also, it calls for "wheat bran", and I used All Bran cereal and it's perfect. (As a side note here, WHO eats All Bran cereal by itself? Anyone? It basically turns to dirt the instant you put liquid on it. I'd have to be pretty desperate!)

Nice trick on the molding for Spiderwoman - oops, she doesn't like spiders - mumblebee woman, oops, she doesn't like mumblebees, hmmmmm. And the green monster is adorable! Love those grandies! Mom
